Noose were formed in September
2000 when Roo (Andy Cragg) and Gary Marlow enlisted drummer Paul Bailey. They
are based in the Nottingham/ Derby area playing
their own brand of punk rock and are a must see live act, being loud, energetic
and raucous.
With Roo writing the material the band knuckled down and recorded a five track demo CD in February 2001 entitled “Get Knotted”. They are now gigging in the Nottingham / Derby area and are looking to return to the studio in the future to record an improved full length album with the wealth of new material they have.
In November 2001 Noose added a new guitarist/ vocalist by the name of Mark Higgins. He was recruited to fill out the sound and to add extra backing and harmony vocals. However, after a couple of months and a couple of gigs Noose and Mark parted company.
We now have a new second guitarist / backing vocalist by the name of Colin Smith. With a bit of persuasion and a couple of crowbars Colin has slotted into the band quite easily and is looking forward to his first gig with Noose.
Meanwhile, the recording of a first full length CD is about to get underway. Expected release for the album is summer 2002.
